Chair of the Diaspora and Caucasus Issues Committee, Irakli Zarkua, met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Georgia, H.E. Mr. Ashot Smbatyan.

The meeting focused on cooperation between the two countries across various fields.

“We discussed Georgian-Armenian relations and the progress both countries have achieved. We agreed to deepen bilateral ties, particularly in the area of trade. We also touched on diaspora-related matters, emphasizing the need for enhanced communication. We have been invited to visit Armenia. Such interactions are to be welcomed and once again underscore the deep historical friendship between the Armenian and Georgian peoples", - I. Zarkua stated following the meeting.
