The Legal Affairs Committee approved the candidacies for the Supreme Court Judges

The Legal Affairs Committee heard Levan Nemsadze and Mikheil Jinjolia - the candidacies, nominated by the High Council of Justice for the Supreme Court Judges.


Prior to the hearing, Rati Ionatamishvili, Head of the Working Group tasked to verify the compatibility of the candidates with the legal requirements, stated that the documents submitted by the candidates are in full compliance with the legal requirements.


The candidate Levan Nemsadze has 14 years of working experience. Since October 2023, he has been a non-judicial member of the High Council of Justice.


The candidate Mikheil Jinjolia has the same period of 14 years of working experience; he was appointed on the position of judge on December 1, 2023, for a life tenure, and since November 2022, he has worked as the judge of the Criminal Panel of Tbilisi City Court.


The candidates answered the questions of Members of Parliament.


The Committee approved the candidates.
