Working Meetings of Maka Botchorishvili and Irakli Chikovani in France

The representatives of the Parliament of Georgia, within the framework of the working visit to France, focused on Georgia-EU relations and the importance of France's support on the way to EU integration.
The Chair of the EU Integration Committee, Maka Botchorishvili, and the Head of the Permanent Delegation of Georgia to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Irakli Chikovani met with the Secrétaire d’État chargée de l’Europe, Laurence Boone, the Secretary General of European Affairs, Puisais-Jauvin Emmanuel, and Diplomatic Advisor on Continental Europe and Turkey to the President of the Republic of France, Isabelle Dumont.
The parties discussed the security challenges in the region, as well as Georgia's progress, and implemented reforms.
It was stated that France supports Georgia's entry into the EU and is prepared to offer the country meaningful help in this regard. The discussion included Georgia's ongoing developments and the status of the application of the European Commission's recommendations.
Within the framework of the working visit, the representatives of the Parliament of Georgia also met with the representatives of the Aspen Scientific Research Center, where a discussion was held on the topic "European perspective of Georgia against the background of the conflict in Ukraine".
