The Parliament deliberated the amendments to the Spatial Planning, Architectural, and Construction Activity Code in I reading, introducing a temporary rule for putting into operation the construction work in violation of permit conditions in the Batumi municipality.

According to Resan Kontselidze, one of the initiators of the draft law, with the adoption of the draft law, it will be possible to put into operation the completed facilities, the construction of which was carried out in violation of permit conditions or belongs to unauthorized constructions.

According to him, the change will affect those buildings that were completed as of September 26, 2022, when aerial photography of the entire territory of Batumi municipality was carried out in the high-resolution format.

According to the authors of the document, with the adoption of the law, facility owners will be given the opportunity to register and develop their property in accordance with the rules established by the law.
