The Parliament elected three members of the Supreme Court

The Parliament elected three members of the Supreme Court – Gizo Ubilava, Badri Shonia and Gocha Jeiranashvili.
G. Ubilava was supported by 80 MPs, and B. Shonia and G. Jeiranashvili – by 78-78 MPs. Per the elucidation of the Speaker, H.E. Shalva Papuashvili, since the position of one member of the Supreme Court remains vacant, and two positions will become vacant as of October 18, 2024, in alphabetical order, the firstly elected candidate – Gizo Ubilava assumes office today, and two other members – on October 18.
