Ramaz Nikolaishvili elected as the PABSEC Vice-President

Member of Parliament, Ramaz Nikolaishvili participated in the 62nd PABSEC Plenary Session on November 15-17 held in Kyiv.
The central topic of the session was the strengthening of the role of the parliaments in the Black Sea region and the enhancement of cooperation. The Assembly adopted a declaration concerning the developments in Ukraine and supporting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. It is noteworthy that the Russian Delegation has officially left the PABSEC.
The Assembly also issued recommendations and adopted the reports on: “Strengthening parliamentary cooperation in the field of disaster prevention and emergency assistance in the BSEC Region”; “30 years of PABSEC: strengthening cooperation in the Black Sea Region” and National Strategies in the Field of artificial intelligence in the BSEC member states”.
The Assembly elected Ramaz Nikolaishvili as the PABSEC Vice-President for a term of 2 years and elected the Secretary General – extended term with 1 more year for an incumbent Secretary General, Asaf Hajiyev. Simultaneously, R. Nikolaishvili held bilateral meetings with the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Mr. Ruslan Stefanchuk and, accompanied by the Assembly delegates, visited Bucha and Irpin.
