The Budget and Finance Committee approved the final version of the Draft State Budget 2022

“We accomplish the consideration process with the third, revised Draft State Budget 2022”, - the Chair of the Committee, Irakli Kovzanadze stated.


According to him, the final version of the draft budget provides the recommendations of the Parliament and increased financing for all Ministries and agencies.


“Let me remind you of the parameters provided in the final version revised by the Government. GDP growth is envisaged with 6% and in nominal, achieves 65 bl. GEL. The deficit constitutes 4.2% and the expenditures in the revised version are increased by 332 ml GEL and the assignments by 18 bl. 171 ml GEL. Almost all the Ministries and agencies enjoy increased financing. The salaries for the public servants are increased by 10%, as well as for the consumer subjects. The recommendations of the Parliament are shared in this version. It is noteworthy that the deficit is reduced with 4.2%, which is principal for maintenance of the macro-economic stability”, - he added.


The reporter, the First Deputy Finance Minister, Giorgi Kakauridze overviewed the main directions and macro-economic parameters of the budget and introduced the basic data serving the basis for the budget.


According to him, the deficit in 2021 constituted 7.6% and the economic growth forecast was at 4.3%, however, the year is ended with 10% economic growth. The debt index is at 51,7% and the deficit is within 6.7%.


The Committee approved the document.
