The Parliament of the 11th Convocation elected the Chairs of 16 Committees.

MPs approved the candidate of Gela Samkharauli as the Chair of the Agrarian Issues Committee;

the Human Rights and Civil Integration Committee will be chaired by Rati Ionatamishvili;

 was approved as the Chair of the Education, Science and Youth Affairs Committee;

MPs voted for Maia Bitadze as the Chair of the Environmental Protection and Natural Resources Committee;

Shota Berekashvili was nominated and elected as the Chair of the Sector Economy and Economic Policy Committee;

Irakli Zarkua was appointed as the Chair of the Diaspora and Caucasus Issues Committee;

while Levan Makhashvili was elected as the Chair of the EU Integration Committee;

and Alexander Tabatadze approved on the position of the Chair of the Defense and Security Committee;

the Legal Issues Committee will be chaired by Giorgi Kakhiani;

the Culture Committee will have Giorgi Gabunia as the Chair;

Nikoloz Samkharadze will chair the Foreign Relations Committee;

and Irakli Kadagishvili was elected as the Chair of the Regional Policy and Self-Government Committee.

As for the Procedural Issues and Rules Committee, David Matikashvili was elected on the position of the Chair;

Paata Kvizhinadze was approved as the Chair of the Budget and Finance Committee;

MPs voted for Victor Sanikidze as the Chair of the Sports Committee;

and elected Zaza Lominadze as the Chair of the Health Care and Social Issues Committee.

As the Parliamentary Majority Leader, the Chair of the Faction “Georgian Dream”, Mamuka Mdinaradze noted, Giorgi Kakhiani will remain on the position in the Legal Issues Committee for a term of two weeks until elected on the position of the Vice-Speaker of the Parliament to be replaced by a new MP, Archil Gorduladze.
