The Parliamentary Delegation participates in the PACE Spring Session

The Parliamentary Delegation attends the PACE Spring Session. April 25-27 will be dedicated to the debates concerning the Summit of the CoE member states scheduled in Reykjavík in May with the agenda to estimate the Russian war in Ukraine and its consequences for Europe.
The debates will as well cover the implementation of the ECHR Orders. Within the framework of the visit, the Majority Leader, Irakli Kobakhidze is meeting with the Rapporteurs of the CoE Monitoring Committee on Georgia issues, Claude Kern and Edite Estrela.
Georgian MPs will as well hold working meetings with the partners in various Committees.
“Our Delegation is taking an active part in the PACE activity. We always resort to this format to converse with our colleagues on the relevant issues and aspects important for our country, including the EU recommendations and the EU candidacy. It is an important format allowing us to hold discussions. We enjoy significant progress, however, two key issues remain non-finalized – deoligarchization and judicial reform. We are aspired to inform our colleagues about all these processes. We are meeting with both rapporteurs to deliberate on the progress in our country and discuss their recently published report. We had a number of remarks and we intend to share our positions with the rapporteurs”, - I. Kobakhidze noted.
The Parliamentary Delegation is headed by Irakli Chikovani and is composed of the Vice-Speaker, Archil Talakvadze, Majority Leader Irakli Kobakhidze and MPs Khatia Tsilosani, Givi Mikanadze and member of the “People’s Power”, Eka Sepashvili.
