The Chair of Diaspora and Caucasus Issues Committee, Teimuraz Chkuaseli participated in the international project “Give your book away for Diaspora”

Mr. Chkuaseli, within the project, gave the book “When Mirrors Stop Smiling” authored by him, away for Georgian Sunday Schools, Libraries and Georgian Diaspora organizations abroad.
The Deputy-State Minister on Diaspora, Zaal Sarajishvili, the Head of Relations with Diaspora Organizations Department, Tamar Gamilagdishvili and the Advisor to the State Minister, Merab Menabde also participated in the project.
According to Z. Sarajishvili, the project aims at cultural contacts with compatriots abroad, their integration to the national area and enhancement of Georgian language skills. “The presentation of the book was held on May 27, at the Second Professional Forum on Diaspora. The books were delivered to the participants and to sundry libraries. We expressed the idea and agreed with the author to start the project “give your book away for Diaspora” and today, Teimuraz Chkuaseli gratis gave his book to 75 schools and libraries in Diaspora”.
“The book was deliberately printed for Georgians in emigration. The material is especially collected and delivered to schools and libraries abroad. I think, the action organized by the Ministry, will facilitate to maintenance of Georgian language and identity for our Diaspora abroad”, - T. Chkuaseli stated.
The State Ministry plans negotiations with other authors writing on Diaspora issues.
