The Chair of the Health Care and Social Issues Committee, Akaki Zoidze met with the Director of the Central and Eastern European Region and the representatives of the Company.

As noted, “Pfizer”, in view of facilitation to non-smoking campaign, launched the special program worldwide – anti-smoking medicines and respective consultations.

The guest expressed commitment for cooperation with Georgia and introduced the future relations plan.

“It is important to facilitate our citizens to quit smoking. 1/3 of Georgian population is a smoker part, which is related to high costs – it is irreversible damage to health entailing early death and reflecting the financial part of the smokers. At the meeting, we discussed the ways for accessibility to the anti-smoking medicines and participation in the respective program for Georgian citizens and especially for the socially vulnerable strata”, - A. Zoidze noted.
