The meeting of Eka Beselia and Gedevan Popkhadze with the students

Eka Beselia and Gedevan Popkhadze met with the students from various Universities and discussed the key role and function of the Parliament in the Parliamentary Republic.
“The Parliament is the supreme representative body and plays the key role amongst the three branches of authority which shall balance each other, as the Parliament creates the laws and oversees enforcement thereof”, - E. Beselia noted.
She spoke about the history of 100 years of Parliamentarism and introduced her activity in the Parliament of various terms.
“In the previous Term, being the Chair of the Human Rights and Civil Integration Committee, I started development of the Parliamentary oversight and created the new standard of hearing of the Public Defender report”.
Eka Beselia and Gedevan Popkhadze answered the questions concerning the judicial reform, electoral systems, education reform etc.
