The topic of the meeting was public finance management. The guests asked about recent reforms in Georgia in this field and the role of the Committee, as well as development of the state budget and reporting on budget implementation.

The Committee introduced the activity of the Committee and noted that significant reform has been implemented resulting in establishment of the Budgetary Office as an independent structural unit.

As noted, the meeting with the US Congress Budgetary Office is scheduled to sign the memorandum on cooperation. The parties spoke about state audit service activity and its role on control of state budget expenditure.
