The Chair of the Diaspora and Caucasus Issues Committee, Zviad Kvachantiradze met with the representative of Georgian Diaspora in New York, Chair of the World League of Immigrants, Elza Abelashvili and head of TSU Immigration Museum, representative of the WLI in Georgia, Rusudan Kobakhidze.

The parties discussed the future plans of the League aiming at consolidation of immigrants from various countries to facilitate to improvement of the image of our country in their host countries.

The parties discussed the economic projects to be supported.

“There are economic projects within immigration requiring support. We agreed to consider these projects and support them as much as possible. We will issue the recommendation to the Government for support of these projects within the programs undertaken by the Economic Ministry”, - Z. Kvachantiradze noted.

In June, New York will host the presentation of the Magazine “Voice of the Immigrant” and Georgian-American exhibition.
