He initiated foundation of Georgian Parliamentarism and the way to EU integration. He was the creator of the political weather in the country and was the leader of many important processes”.

The Speaker, H.E. Irakli Kobakhidze addressed the attendees: “Zurab Zhvania assumed the highest political responsibility when our statehood and Georgian Parliamentarism was in the process of formation and when our foreign political course was not clearly outlined. Zurab Zhvania was the person who played the particular role in these processes. The current statehood and Parliamentarism was achieved with his merits. The son of Zurab Zhvania, Busa Zhvania also addressed the attendees and thanked the School and the Speaker for organization of the event. “I am honored to be here in the Parliament, to formation and development of which Zurab Zhvania dedicated his significant part of life. It is the place where the state development vision was formulated which now serves as the axis for the political spectrum and the society despite the acute political processes. He resumed this vision in one sentence: “I am Georgia and therefore, I am European”.
