Meeting of Vladimir Chachibaia with the Non-Resident Ambassador of Ethiopia

The Head of the Georgia-Ethiopia Friendship Group, Vladimir Chachibaia held a meeting with the Non-Resident Ambassador of Ethiopia, General Adem Mohammed Mahmud.
The parties discussed the further cooperation prospects between the two countries and stressed the significant steps recently taken in view of the enhancement of the bilateral relations, namely the Memorandums of Cooperation between various agencies. The importance of the Georgian Embassy newly opened in the Capital of Ethiopia was underlined. As the parties stressed, the Embassy will facilitate further approximation of the countries.
V. Chachibaia informed the Ethiopian diplomat about the security challenges in the country and the actions of the occupation forces of Russia on the occupied territories. Speaking about the Ukraine-Russia war, MP noted the contribution of Georgia in support of Ukraine. The parties touched upon the importance of sharing the experience of democratic reforming to Ethiopia.
The conversation led the parties to overview the defense, judicial, human rights and economic reforms. At the end of the meeting, V. Chachibaia thanked the Ambassador for the support of Ethiopia to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Georgia.
