Giorgi Begadze participating in the International Scientific Conference

Tbilisi hosts the ICOM/CECA International Scientific Conference on “Museums, Education and Cultural Activity: between old and modern meanings”.
The Conference was attended by the First Deputy Chair of the Sector Economy and Economic Policy Committee, Giorgi Begadze.
“Diversity of cultural heritage monuments, as tangible so intangible, including UNESCO cultural heritage monuments serves as one of the key reasons for increased dynamic of tourists in Georgia. Diversification of the museums, as well as development of other spheres of culture is important for our country. I believe that this Conference and the reports by the scientists will allow us seeing the directions for us to make emphasis in terms of diversification of culture, which is necessary for tourism industry today and will have the positive impact on our economy”, - he noted.
The Conference was held within the “Cultural Heritage European Year 2018” and “Science and Innovations Festival”.
The conference covers museum education and cultural activities theoretical and methodological approaches, their link with education. The international participants deliver the models of best practice.
The 3-day conference is attended by more than 100 experts, scientists and museum representatives from 35 countries. The conference was as well attended by: Deputy Education Minister, Mikheil Giorgadze; Museum Association CEO, David Lortkipanidze; Head of Cultural Heritage National Agency, Nikoloz Antidze, representative of National Tourism Administration, Giorgi Bregadze, scientists and field specialists.
