Maka Botchorishvili and Levan Karumidze Serving Working Visit in Brussels

Maka Botchorishvili, Chair of the European Integration Committee, and Levan Karumidze, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee, are currently undertaking a working visit to Brussels, Belgium.
During their visit, a meeting was conducted with Simon Mordue, senior adviser to the President of the European Council, Charles Michel. The discussions revolved around Georgia's candidate status for EU membership, the potential for the country's inclusion in the European Union, the projected evaluation, and the expectations of the European Commission concerning Georgia's progress.
The parliamentarians offered detailed insights to the EU representative regarding the advancements in implementing the 12 recommendations put forth by the European Commission for Georgia.
Additionally, a meeting took place with Ambassador Willem Van de Voorde, the EU permanent representative of Belgium, which is poised to assume the presidency of the EU Council in the future. The conversation encompassed significant facets of Georgia-EU relations and underscored the significance of Belgium's assistance in the European integration journey.
As part of the visit, the Chair of the European Integration Committee is set to engage in discussions with prominent figures within EU institutions and representatives of EU member states.
