Georgian Parliament’s Standing Delegation Departs for NATO Parliamentary Assembly Spring Session

The Standing Delegation of the Parliament of Georgia to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly has departed for the United States to participate in the NATO PA Spring Session.
From 22 to 26 May, the Spring Session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly will be held in Dayton, Ohio.
"The NATO PA Spring Session represents an important parliamentary platform for Georgia to present its position on regional security issues", - the head of the standing delegation, Chair of the Education, Science and Youth Affairs Committee, Givi Mikanadze, stated.
According to the session’s agenda, discussions will focus on global and regional security matters.
Special attention will be given to the Black Sea region and the ongoing Russian military aggression in Ukraine.
During the session, parliamentarians will also discuss strategies to strengthen democratic resilience and will review progress achieved in the Balkans on the 30th anniversary of the Dayton Peace Agreement.
The parliamentary delegation also includes Levan Makhashvili, Chair of the European Integration Committee, and Mariam Lashkhi, First Deputy Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee.
