Shalva Papuashvili: The efforts made by the Agrarian Issues Committee are an important step toward establishing a framework for annual reports and action plans

"The efforts made by the Agrarian Issues Committee with the aid of the European Union and the UNDP, entailing a systematic analysis of the content, form, and structure of the annual report and the action plan, are an important step towards establishing a framework for annual reports and action plans in the Parliament”, - the Speaker stated at the presentation of the 2022 Action Plan and 2021 Report on the Activities of the Agrarian Issues Committee.
Shalva Papuashvili addressed the invited guests at the event and dwelt on the strengthening of the parliamentary activity, as well as the priority directions of his work as the Speaker of the Parliament. He stressed the importance of properly planning the work of the committees and then, reporting to the public on the work embarked on.
"Standardization has a positive side - the main thing is that any interested person will find it easier to navigate the texts, as the structure, form, and concept will be easier for our citizens to understand. I, therefore, find the experience gained by the Committee in this process interesting. As for the plan, if it is a successful structure, I believe it would be good if other committees would share and a uniform structure of reports and action plans would be established. At the same time, the document is easily structured and contains a variety of tools that transform a textual narrative into a document that, to some extent, even makes the results countable”, - he stated.
Shalva Papuashvili thanked the Chair of the Committee, Nino Tsilosani, and international partners for their work.
