The meeting of the Vice-Speaker, Gubaz Sanikidze with Kuwait-Georgian Friendship Group of the Kuwait National Assembly

G. Sanikidze and Kuwait-Georgian Friendship Group members spoke about enhancement of cooperation, economic links and current situation in the region. The parties touched upon various aspects of cooperation and noted that there are all pre-conditions.

As G. Sanikidze stated, enhancement of relations is of interest of both countries. “As to us, we would be glad to have Kuwait as the bridge for Georgia in relations with Arab countries”.

According to the guests, the visit aims at enhancement of cooperation and mutual beneficial links. The Head of Kuwait-Georgia Friendship Group underlined that Kuwait supports territorial integrity of Georgia and will support stabilization and development in Georgia.He handed invitation of the Speaker of Kuwait Parliament for David Usupashvili for the official visit.

The meeting was attended by Deputy-Chair of Diaspora and Caucasus Issues Committee, Sh. Kiknavelidze and the Chair of the Faction Georgian Dream-National Forum, M. Vakhtangishvili.

“We spoke about economic projects, situation in the region. We expressed commitment of Georgia to play positive role in conflict resolution, especially for processes in Yemen”, - G. Sanikidze stated.

Today the meeting is scheduled with the Deputy-Foreign Minister, D. Jalagania, Deputy-Economic Minister, M. Janelidze and Deputy-Agrarian Minister, G. Tskipurashvili.

Tomorrow the guests will be received by the Catholic-Patriarch of Georgia, Ilia II. The visit started on April 9 and will be accomplished on April 14.
