The Chair of the Diaspora and Caucasus Issues Committee, Zviad Kvachantiradze met with the representative of Georgian Diaspora in Greece, founder of diaspora.ge, Avtandil Giunashvili to discuss news policy in Georgian diaspora.

The parties spoke about enhancement of communication between the state and diaspora. As noted, it is important to inform the compatriots about the achievements in the country and to ensure access of the state to the problems of Georgian emigrants.

The parties agreed on active cooperation. A. Giunashvili thanked Z. Kvachantiradze for provision of the books for young migrants.

“The Committee initiated collection of the books and text-books in Georgia delivered to the Sunday Schools. It was a great support for them. They expressed their gratitude as it is important for maintenance of national identity. It facilitates to enhancement of our links and relations with our compatriots abroad”, - A. Giunashvili stated.
