The “People’s Power” members met with Giorgi Kakauridze to deliberate on the amendments to the State Budget 2025

Media and Society 05 Dec 2025
The “People’s Power” members met with Giorgi Kakauridze to deliberate on the amendments to the State Budget 2025
The First Deputy Finance Minister, Giorgi Kakauridze introduced the Draft State Budget 2025 to the Parliamentary Political Group “People’s Power”. As he elucidated, the amendments specify the economic parameters.

According to him, the 2025 state budget had initially been planned based on a 6% economic growth forecast; however, under the updated projection, real economic growth is expected to reach 7.2%.

During the meeting, the First Deputy Minister reviewed the macroeconomic parameters of the country’s main financial document and discussed the revenue and expenditure components of the state budget.
According to the updated forecast, this year the GDP will amount to 104,407 million GEL.

The planned indicator of mixed budget revenues increases by 222.6 million GEL and is set at 32,133.5 million GEL.
Under the draft, total revenues of Georgia’s 2025 state budget increase by 22.7 million GEL and will amount to 27,583.5 million GEL.

State budget appropriations total 27,952.9 million GEL, which is 11.2 million GEL higher compared to the approved plan.

The parliamentary political group assessed the draft law positively.

“The changes proposed by the draft law stem from the overperformance of the 2025 budget, which can be regarded positively. The amendments increase funding for the health, agriculture, and infrastructure sectors. Even before we proceed to the 2026 state budget, the adjustments to the 2025 budget already clearly demonstrate that Georgia’s economic trajectory is quite positive,” - stated Guram Macharashvili, Deputy Chair of the political group.
