The Vice-Speaker, Kakhaber Kutchava held the video-conference with the Vice-President of the EP Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats, Kati Piri to discuss the EUAA implementation report, considered on September 14 in the European Parliament; as well as the pandemic preventive measures by the Government of Georgia.

“Mme. Piri was the rapporteur on the consideration of the EUAA implementation report. We had an interesting and pleasant conversation. I thanked her for supporting Georgia which we always feel from the European Parliament. We dwelt on the pre-election environment and all the measures we have undertaken to protect our citizens from the virus on E-day”, - K. Kutchava noted.

According to him, the EP gave a positive assessment to the efforts of the Georgian Government in countering the pandemic, and the Constitutional reform and the changes to the Election Code.

“Mme. Piri wished us good luck and expressed her will to attend the Parliamentary Elections in Georgia as an observer if deriving from the COVID-19 situation, the EP issues the respective permit”, - he added.
